Description: Short description: In 1920-1922 he studied at the Kyiv Art Institute, at the Jewish Theatre Studio with I. M. Tchaikov, N. Shifman, I. M. Rabinovich, A. G. Tyshler. He began his creative activity at the Theatre of Studio Productions with V. Koych and I. Chuoy, where he designed two productions in 1924-1925 (Prodelki Scapen Molier and the Death of Pazukhin M. Saltykov-Shchedrin). In 1925 he moved to Moscow, where he studied in the theatre department of the Faculty of Painting at VxUTEIN (1926-1930), worked in the theatre department with D.
